COVID-19 Office Hours and Procedures

During these unprecedented times, we will be employing unique measures to ensure we maintain a safe environment for our clients and our staff.   We are all responsible to limit the spread of COVID-19 in our communities and we are doing our part while balancing the accounting needs of our clients.

Our office is staffed Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, but is not open to the public. 

We will have a few staff available during these hours so if you have questions please call or email instead of coming in and we will find one of our qualified staff to get back to you.

Our Turnaround on Tax Files – #pleasebearwithus

As you can appreciate, with these new procedures and staff practicing social distancing (never more than 5 people in our office at a time) our turn around times may be longer than what you’ve been accustomed to.  We are doing our very best to process all our tax files as quickly as possible. 

Unless you have a time sensitive request, we ask that you please bear with us and refrain from calling our office for an update on your tax file as this takes us away from maintaining focus on the hundreds of tax files that are in progress.  We sincerely thank you for your patience as we all adjust to these unique times.

Dropping Information Off to Us

We have 4 ways for you to get information to us so we can provide tax, bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting services:

  1. The locked dropbox outside our office door (please use a sealed envelope)
  2. For bulky items, we can open an office window for drop off through the window and into a bin
  3. We can send you an email with a link to upload files using our secure encrypted Sharefile (Citrix) application; or
  4. Send us a link at to your favourite virtual dropbox/cloud storage.

Signing Your Tax Return

We are coordinating reviewing and signing of your tax return by email if that is available to you.  We use a secure email service to ensure your files are transmitted safely.

If email is not an option for you, we can make arrangements to hand a package to you in our parking lot.  You can then review your return, sign required documents and drop off signed documents in our drop box outside the office door.

If you would like a review of your tax return, we are booking appointments by phone and will ensure you have what you need in advance of that meeting.

Paying our Invoice

Before filing your return, we do require that our invoice be paid.  We accept eTransfers to , credit card payments by phone or you can drop off or mail a cheque to us.

We sure do miss seeing and catching up with all our clients.  Especially our tax clients who we typically only see at this time of year.  But as they say, we will meet again and we all can get through this together while staying apart.
